Sunday Microwave Meatloaf Anyone?

The Mrs. is staying after church for more choir practice. So I pull out the microwave meatloaf sold by a national brand.

When I open the package, there's this 6/14 inch by 9 inch x 2inch deep plastic container with a vacuum sealed bag of meatloaf. After cooking for 5 minutes and removing the vacuum bag, this is what is left.

So I look on the cover for something that would say, "contents may settle in shipment." Nothing there. "Contents enlarged to show product detail." Nothing there. I even read the fine print. Nothing there.

They're leaving you plenty of room to add your own mashed potatos and green vegetables. Or did you think the meat loaf would expand to fill the container....?? I'd still be hungry!! Regards, Mike

It's cute!
I only make a 4-5 lb meatloaf, I slice half of it in meal or sandwich size pieces and freeze them in tin foil. THEN I microwave when I want a sandwich or meal. I eat the other half over the next few days!

I guess they didn't use the extra lean beef for that meatloaf. We like meatloaf . . . made at home, but have never tried ready made, and I never order meatloaf in a restaurant, because you never know what it's going to taste like. I'll never forget the meatloaf our school served about once a week for lunch when I was little kid; funny reddish color and tasted so bad you had to bury it in catsup and eat plenty of bread to get it down.

They just left you room to put an entire (big!) bottle of ketchup in there, so you don't have to look at that while you're eating...
