Sunshade for ROPS

Hi,

Just got my new L2600DT. Does anyone know where I can get a sunshade for the ROPS? I believe it's Kubota part number BL1143M?

Also, do you know where I can get a photo of it?

What other creative ways have you used to block out the sun? Besides a hat, of course!

Kubota has replaced both the BF1141 and BL1143 sunshades with the new E1133 that fits on all ROPS model tractors Kubota makes (that's right... from the BX's all the way to the M's). Price is in the $400 range. The frame attaches to the rops in a U shape. The actual sunshade is made of a high impact plastic (of course in the Kubota orange color). If I had a scanner, I could get a picture but will have to wait and use the digital camera sometime early next week. Weight is around 90 pounds.

bhartzer1, I would think there are probably a lot of aftermarket canopies. When I bought my B2710, the Kubota plastic canopy was $395. The dealer said they almost never sell one because they could install an insulated steel or diamond plate canopy for $295 that's made by the Wells Ag Co., Elm Mott, TX. The diamond plate aluminum ones are unpainted, while the steel is painted to match the tractor. I went with the steel and sure do like it. I assume there are others as good, but I haven't seen one I liked better, and I know I've posted a picture of it before but don't remember where. Of course, this picture's from the rear and you can see the ripple I put in it when I backed under a big, solid, low limb./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif And the canopy's so rigid that I haven't been able to straighten it.
