Mahindra 2655 HST
Hello,
I'm a new member here and also a new owner of a Mahindra 2655 HST! I can use all the advise I can get as I'm a little nervous about doing my first 50 hr service!

G'day Mate and welcome to TBN from Downunder.

She'll be right, mate. Firstly, the procedure should be described in your Owner Manual... including the filters, oil(s) and amount of oil(s) required.

Secondly, mentally think the procedure(s) through before-hand. What tools will you need? What are you emptying the oil(s) into? I'd recommend buying a couple of inexpensive plastic storage bins (you may know them as 'totes' if you're from N.A.) that can easily be slid under the tractor to collect the fluids.

Ensure that the tractor is parked (hand brake ON and in Neutral) on a level surface. Run it for a while (1/2 hr.) to warm up the oils for a good outflow.

Initial removal of 'factory installed' filters can be difficult as all manufacturers employ an 800lb gorilla to put them on.

If you're replacing the oil and fuel filter, remember to rub a wee bit of oil/fuel on the gasket, prior to installing, to 'set/seat' the filter properly. The fuel filter should also be filled with diesel prior to screwing it on.

Have fun and have some rags handy for any clean-up.

Enjoy the site... from wherever in the world you're from.

Howdy Mate!
Ya, I'm sure I'll figure it all out. Do you own a Mahindra?

No to the Mahindra... all of my rigs are JD (John Deere).

You may want to post a question in the Mahindra Owner/Operator section... Something along the lines of "Nervous about my First 50hrs", especially if there are things mentioned in your Owner Manual that are unfamiliar. In the past, the Mahindra manuals were 'translated' from Indian-English and the wording was a wee bit wonky.

I don't know if that has improved over the years... it could have as I haven't heard much chatter about the quality of Mahindra Manuals in quite a while.
