I have been loving this new forum as I build my tow machine. I have an older '94 Ford F350 with 7.3 liter turbo diesel and am in the process of minting it out mechanically. This week it's time to add new injectors, injection pump and open up the exhaust to 3 1/2" pipe and add an intercooler and some gauges to monitor it all.

If you have a Ford Diesel go take a peek. It's another addiction almost as bad a Kubota's.

Have fun,

Yea but not nearly the family and good time atmosphere as over here. They tend to get a little nasty over there. They do have some good info. though.

I frequent the 7.3 (non- powerstroke) site. I don't see where in this particular site people have been rude but can't speak for the other truck specific areas. Generally, the posters are well knowledged and have very good info and experience. I think the FORD-DIESEL site has a larger audience base and see so many different usernames you can't establish the 'family' atmospere we enjoy here. But if your truck is broke, doing something wierd, or you want to do maintenance your unsure of, they'll have answers.

Exactly... I just enjoy the 7.3 IDI Forum for learning about the capabilities and maintenence of my diesel. I know the guys in the general forum get a little testy with Duramax and Cummings people. It just natural for roosters to fight! LOL

My tail feathers are brighter than yours or just look at my wattles and the clear note of my crow. I think sometimes women are right - men are just boys with expensive toys!

10 days ago I dragged my TC45 into the dealer for it's 50 hour routine and some other elective maintenance and in a 15 mile stretch we passed no less than 6 other trucks dragging their tractors ... it was enough to make my wife comment about all the guys driving around with their *****' hanging out the back/w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif/w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

DrDan (or should I say DocDan) agree with you on that. See the 'mine's better than yours' here too via the Orange, Green, and Blue wars. There is one thing that I do love more than my tractor though and that's my truck. Wife took it to the coast with her sister with my cabover camper and pulling two horses in a trailer. First time with a load on since making performance mod's. First thing I asked when she got back was "how did it run?" My wife responded "I missed you too dear"...Oops!

p.s. It ran great I guess!

I know exactly what you are saying. I love my truck and thank god my girlfriend likes it too... I was giving her crap the other day about "adjusting herself in a very male way" when she climbed down out of the drivers seat. LOVE THEM DIESELS!!! Putting an intercooler and bigger exhaust this next week. Can't rest till I got 500 HP on the dyno.

DrDan,

Good luck getting 500 HP at the rear wheels with your 7.3 IDI. You are going to need LPG injection and nitrous to hit that type of number along with a reworked pump. I bet you can hit somewhere around 350 HP though.

I have a 97 PSD that puts out 365 at the rear wheels with the stock injectors still. That is with the additional 80- HP boost of LPG, 5" straight exhaust, TTS race chip, and 3.5" downpipe.
