Super Trac universal THF in 3510?

Is anybody here familiar with the Super Trac brand of universal tractor hydraulic fluid? If so, would it be OK to use in my 3510? The book isn't very clear on specs for the hyd/trans fluid and I figured someone here might know.

Hey Dave,

I'm in South Louisiana too. I just put super trac hydro/trans fluid in my Mahindra 485. Paid $22.50 for 5 gallons. Had to get 10 gallons for transmission/rear end and hydraulics. Anyway, I find the hydraulics to be operating like they always have...normal. However, I do find that the transmission is pretty hard to shift gears with this type of fluid.......I'm thinking about draining this and going back to 80W 90 gear oil......It shifted A LOT better.......Don't know if I can justify the cost.

If I had to do it over, I would NOT put it in MY transmission/rear end....Yours might be made different though. It might 'call' for it.

I would not put gear oil in my tranny.(please read the manual)

I would use any universal tracor fluid that is jd303 compatible

The 3510 has a totally different system than the 485.
You must run the hydro/trans in the 3510
DO NOT put gear oil in anything on a 3510 except the front axel.

I used it in my 4110 and about 50 hours later it seems to be doing just fine.

Just an update. I decided to go ahead and use the Super Trac fluid and it seems to be working out fine. The tractor actually seems to shift a little better since I changed the fluid, even though the fluid I drained out looked like new. We'll see how it performs over time.
