What is a good source for oil and filters? Also, what are the best replacements for the kubota brand and where do you get them. I have found several mentions of tractorsmart.com, but that seems to be defunct. Anywhere else? Messicks has fair prices but shipping is $$$!

I just get my stuff from my dealer, they have good prices and are good folks. I also like to keep it local as much as possible.

I also use Kubota brand filters purchased from my local dealer. Kubota quality is known and proven and it does keep the money local as well. Also, if there is a problem you have someone to speak with about it. It's not worth the bad feelings to save a few dollars.

I'm going to have to agree with these guys.

Yeah, that was my plan unless I could get significant savings online somewhere

Someone posted information on a Wix or other brand cross reference. Our dealer offer filters etc., excluding oil at a 15% discount once per year and I buy for all of our tractors then. My loyalty has been rewarded in more ways than I can name and has more tan made up for using cheaper parts.

You might try doing a search on the oil forum or by using Google or Bing which also links back here; wish I could be of more assistance.

Tractorsmart is not defunct, it has been combined into Keller Kubota.

I always buy hydraulic filters from Kubota. I do prefer K&N for engine oil filters as the 1" nut molded into the end of the filter makes it extra easy to change without removing the cowling or jamming your hands into the side of the tractor.

I buy mine from Barlows, the Kubota dealer here in Somerset, Ky.

I agree with the others, Kubota filters all the way and UDT hydraulic oil. I have used Rotella 15w-40 oil in the engine.

I agree as well. I have bought filters from both Messicks and my local dealer. The Super UDT 2 I buy locally because the shipping if you buy it on line is real high. I stick to Kubota, I know they don't make their own filters but it is made to their spec. Never had a problem.
