Sailorcrew, welcome to compact tractor land. First of all a cupholder is a must as indicated by an orgy of posts under "Chalkley Cup". Second, front and rear facing lights that are high enough on the ROPS so the FEL/3 point implement doesn't blot them out but not so high that you can't get in the shed. Get one of those cheap chinese stainless steel saucers with a magnet on it to coral hitch pins, the tin can for the exhaust pipe etc. Next, look it over for a site for a serious good sized tool box. Also, a place to store a good 20' chain. Reinforce the FEL top lip and put chain hooks at the corners. Cycle the FEL and check the transmission/hydraulic fluid and other gear case fluid levels.Check-out linkages for binding points and lubrication. Make sure all grease fittings take grease. Adjust the seat to your wieght. If your north of TN consider a heated battery blanket and block heater. Get a cleft for the drawbar. Get a grease gun holder/bracket. Make sure hydraulic hose don't rub. Check the air in the tires. Tighten bolts, especially FEL mounting hardware. Get the proper array of metric tools. Hide the second key. Get an anti- corrosion mat for the battery. Think about how your going to handle fuel, containers, amount etc. Teach wife how to remove snow at 5:00AM. Buy a tiltmeter and impress on everyone that this thing can kill you and the seat belt isn't just decoration. Make a shovel holder.
This will keep you busy the first weekend.
