I can get the 3616 to 2000 rpms but with any load at all the rpms rapidly drop off and it may die completely. I changed the fuel filter, both air filters and cleaned out the fuel tank....all that took a day and then it started right up, got it to 2000 rpms, engaged the brush cutter and it died within 30 seconds. Disengaged the cutter, waited 5 mins and started it up again with no load, but even moving the tractor back to the barn was slow and at low rpms. Tractor is 2 years old with 121 hours. Fuel is new, less than a teaspoon of water in the old filter. Anybody got any ideas about this?

Hydro or shuttle? Was the shredder still on it when you were driving?

On those tractors to bleed the air out right there is a bleeder on the pump. Id check around the injectors also to be sure you don't have a leak there..

Is the fuel bowl filling up?
