Hi All,

I recently got the 3pt kit for my L47, for use with a brush hog and scraper blade. It was my first time taking off the backhoe and it went smoothly. So far so good using the TLB with rear implements.

Now that it's time to switch back to the backhoe so I can put culverts in my driveway, I'm in a bit of a pickle. The pins for the lower link arms fit into pre-drilled holes. The pins were pretty snug going in, so I greased them, but now it's basically impossible to get them out because the holes don't go all the way through and therefore I can't tap the pin from the other side. Photo attached from the installation manual, for clarity. I am trying to remove the pin labeled (3). It's not obvious in the picture, but that hole on the tire side doesn't go all the way through.

Questions:

1 - any ideas how to get that pin out? It's way to snug to simply pull out.
2 - could the backhoe somehow fit with the lower link arms swung up so they might fit between the tractor body and backhoe? No idea if that would work, but I'm asking questions first before I get out there and get myself too frustrated on this!

Thanks in advance for any advice you may offer!

I usually put an adjustable wrench on the rectangle head part and twisted it back and forth while pulling outwards.

Can you clamp vice grips onto the head?
If so, then using two flatblade screwdrivers, small prybars, tapping with hammer should come out. Pull...pry...rock it back and forth, pull some more.

Try dosing with Kroil or your favorite penetrating oil, plus twisting w/ vice grips and leveraging.
What does bolt #4 do?

And if the fit is anything like that of my Woods BH on my B7610 the 3pt MAY just barely fit but there is definite of dangering expensive parts.

Thanks everyone. It was a monster but I managed to wrestle it out with vice grips and tapping with a screwdriver, as suggested. Seems like it's not the most intelligent design to secure something that is meant to come on & off regularly. Glad I can turn to TBN for advice!

Cheers!
