Has anyone been using a full synthetic hydraulic fluid in there tractor. I am thinking about using a full synthetic in mine due to cold temps in my area, (I live in northern Vermont). Any recomendations? I would like to use synthetic in front axle also, same fluid for this?

Super UDT the juice of the God's from Kubota. I run the SUDT in the front axles also. Lots of folks are using a synthetic gear oil up front but I've had great results in using just SUDT and Rotella in the engine.

I am going to go with Amsoil synthetic tractor/ hydraulic fluid when I need to change, but I do prefer that you give it a try and get back to me and tell me what you think before I go spend the money to learn the expensive way.

I have a BX2200 and a B2410, both located in northern Vermont.

SUDT has always worked perfectly, in both the hydro system and front axles.

When it's below zero, the loader will be a little slow for about one minute, until the fluid starts to move.

I use Chevron All Weather Synthetic THF and find markedly improved performance. I especially see an easier start and markedly faster "ramp-up" in colder (single digit and sub-zero) temps.

Chevron product number 255237-448 for 5 gallon pails of Chevron Synthetic All-Weather THF,

and and a fairly close source for you is Munce's Superior located at 620 Main St, Gorham, New Hampshire 03581

Speak with Mark. He is familiar with the product, carries it, and may have the 5 gallon pails in stock and if not, can and will easily order it.

Just to let you know, I went with the Amsoil in my tractor, and it "whines" louder now than it did with the SUDT. I haven't noticed any other issues. Not a big deal to me, but just thought I'd give you a heads up.

A straight answer on exactly what super UDT consists of seems hard to come by, but my understanding is that large amounts of it are synthetic. I don't think I've ever heard anyone find somthing that works better.

Nope, SUDT is blended dino oil. <insert floggin horse avatar here>

SUDT is ideal for cold weather, not particularly great for hot conditions. Dealers here in Texas don't even stock it.

Do a search on Schaeffer oil. They make tons of different products, including fully synthetic.

Thats odd, since thats what ships in all the tractors, and you can tell a clear performance difference in some models depending on the oil. The RTV900 in particular... they're doing their customers a huge disjustice if they're not using SUDT.
