I'm working on a T-300 Bobcat. The front disconnects are connected to a harley rake. Rake spins one way but not the other. I hooked up a 4 in 1 bucket. Clam shell closes but won't open. It's a 2007 with manual arms (not joysticks).. The toggle switch on the right arm controls the harley rake. The bottom female connector on the junction block is supposed to be fluid in. The top one is fluid return.

When I pull out the quick disconnect on the tractor (the bottom one, supply line) there's an odd kind of valve that's inside the fitting. It has a spring behind it up inside the fitting. Apparently this spring returns the flat connector to its seat. I'm wondering if this valve set up can some how stop hydraulic flow. When I stick a quick connector into the bottom fitting and start the tractor, nothing comes out. If I remove the whole odd assembly piece, fluid comes out. But only when the toggle switch is in one direction. Not the other.

I'm trying to figure out if it might be a toggle switch problem or quick disconnect problem... Please Help..! Thanks!

Logically they would put a two way solenoid and switch in the machine, because you might use other attachments that needs to turn in reverse.

If the attachments has two hoses, then both hoses needs to be attached.

QD's can fail and not flow. You can use unions to check flow or purchase new QD.

Thank you for your reply J.J. -- I don't know what you ever used to do, but you certainly know your hydraulics. I'm always glad when you respond!

Yeah, the T-300 is a 2007. When looking at the machine from the front, the bottom quick connect which I assume is the inflow seems to be the problem. The quick disconnect screws into this fitting I'm speaking of. When you screw it out it's got a couple of O-rings and ports in it. There's also a little tiny pin that sticks out the back of it that's spring loaded. I guess it depresses when you screw this piece in. But after you screw that piece in and connect the hoses it acts like there's no hydraulic fluid moving through it.

I was wondering about the flat disconnects if they can fail like you say. It seems like once you push them in the plungers would have to make the ports open without fail. When you say use unions in place of them for troubleshooting, what unions? Where can I get them?

Again, thanks so much for responding. You've certainly gotten me out of a couple of jams..

Thanks again J.J... I'll give it a whirl.. I'll let you know what happens. I didn't know what you meant by a union. I thought it was some special union. I see you just bypass the fittings with the unions. Thanks very much!
