Of course it was pouring when it was finally ready for delivery. Dealer was nice enough to deliver and will pick up next month when the Woods loader finally arrives. So all I got to do th first day was wipe it dry.

Cleared the day after but I had standing water in all the low spots so it sat a second day. Put it to work on the third day but it really put me to work feeding the chipper. I was tired that night from the hauling and lifting, but Igot ;lots of chips for those low, wet places.

Attached pics, hope they make it.

Very nice!!!! I like the paint job on the chipper and the new New Holland logo. I had the smaller version of this (TC30), and it had no problems at all. Enjoy!!!!

Great looking tractor. I have T1520, Kubota 3400 Dt and JD-990 on my wish list, with emphasis on NH as I like the design simplicity and it's robustness for my type of use. Please keep us up to date on performance of your new tractor. I know if you give her a bit of TLC, she'll give it all back for many years.

LOL, isnt that sad...the rain drew my attention immediately too...then the tractor. :) I was going to comment but didnt want to side track his thread. :)

BTW nice tractor...really...its hard though (not impossible) to 'feel your pain' b/c you didnt get to use your tractor for 2 days b/c of rain. :) :)

I really like the chipper! Does this mdl have manual or power feed? Who makes it? What was the cost? Ive been on again/off again about getting a small chipper. I have enough work for it but I cant get beyond the initial outlay?

That was a hard rain, not just passing showers. We had a low go up the coast and got it coming and going. Thanks for the positive comments.

I went with the Wallenstein 4" chipper model BX-42, manual feed. Hydraulic feed adds several thousands to the price. Went back and forth between the 6" BX-62 and the 42. Prices were 3100 and 2300 and I decided to save the money and go with the smaller chipper. The 6" also looked a lot larger and I was concerned with storage. Still second guessing that decision.

Other than branch tips, everything is pulled in by the blades and helped by the down slope of the feed opening. Tried to take a picture of large limbs going through but, by the time I get the camera, they are gone and it is ready for he next one.

Rental for a self powered chipper runs about $200 a day at Home Depot so I am three days into the eleven day break even point on the chipper.

Still looks naked without a loader, will be glad to get that. Just hope it runs as long as my brother's 1710.

:) Salting the wound huh! No matter, we;re getting rain today. YES!!!!!!

Thanx very much for the infos on your chipper. I have no idea what the cost of renting is around here and I need to check that out. Im not going to have time to do any tree culling/trimming until later this fall so I have some time to work w/. I was figuring to do all the trimming etc and make brush piles then bring the chipper in once. From the sound of it your chipper can really make quick work of the brush!! Anyway, IIRC the price my dealer gave was considerable higher than what you paid. I should look into that a bit more I think. Thanx again!!

BTW where were those pics taken...ME or TX?

Nice looking unit. Is NH going back to the squared off look rather than the sloped Boomer look, or is this just specific to your model?

The T1520, and its kissing cousin the TC30, are throw backs to the past. NH is sticking with its sloped hood Boomer style.
