My T190 has a plastic tank for the hydraulic oil. When. I bought the machine used I paid the dealer for a tech to come check it out. Worth it.
The tech removed a plug in the top of the hydraulic tank and inserted an extendible magnet to check the tank bottom for steel particles. Nothing significant found.
Now I want to repeat the test but the plug wont come out. Im concerned about using too much torque and destroying the tank. Any ideas? How much torque should the 8 year old cover be able to withstand? I could use a torque wrench and stop if the torque wrench reaches this setting.
Is this worth attempting? Im looking for feel for if these tanks are really robust, or fragile and should be left as is.
As the plug is above fluid level it should need very little torque when installed.
