T264 Cruise control

Picked up a leftover 264 several months ago, realized once I got home that the cruise isint working. Finally got around to messing with it. Yes its under warranty, and no I currently dont have time to take it back to dealer. So anyways just want to verify that the switch is a momentary switch in both directions? Seems odd that way, but appears it has a cruise on relay and a cruise off relay. When I select ON cruise engages but once I release button it kicks the magnet back off. I have cleaned pedal, and magnet, and shimmed magnet closer to pedal, I have also verified brake light switch adjustment, and it was not right and lights were on all the time, but is corrected now. Thanks for any insight.

64 views and no one can tell me if the CC switch is momentary both ways? I must be the only one with a TYM that has CC. LOL

On my 2400H Branson the button is maintained. Push on = maintained for cruise and button illuminates. Push again = off

If only one button I would suspect should be a maintained circuit.

thanks, ya this is a on/off/on switch. Just wondering if the switch is supposed to stay in the cruise ON position, and then the off side is momentary. Just racking my brain trying to figure out how it could be momentary and then be able to keep the relay closed.

Did you get an owners manual with your tractor or was it used from private individual. If remember correctly my manual explained then operation of cruise.

I haven't even tried the cruise on my tractor. I don't have long stretches of areas to mow.

I've attached the schematic from the manual for my T233. It shows the two relays and the wiring from the switch to the relays. There is no information on teh cruise control other than to check teh fuse.

Wow, What a clean copy of the electrics!! Thanks for this Jigs, I've been frantically searching for a "readable" copy of the electrics for several days -- now two different sources show up!! Great for me! I printed this out and am going to get it enlarged so I can somehow figure out where my short is in my system. I also found a mobile tractor electrician that I believe I'm going to farm this job out to. I just wanted to have a schematic available for him and I.

The service manual has the schematics. You should be able to get teh service manual through TYM but you may have to to to the TYMWorld site, and fill out a form. They don't typically have teh service manuals available for download on the site. But do have a form you can fill out and ask for things they don't list. Typically the service/repair manual is one of the ones you have to ask for.
