Anyone have any input on using a LITW BH6600 backhoe on a T273?
The dealer I'm talking to doesn't have the BT200 in stock, and won't have it available for longer than I can wait to get the work I need to do started this spring. He has an LITW BH6600 with the subframe for the T273, that he can put on at $4500 (and about $1300 less than he quoted for the BT200).
The spec's for both are very close, with a possible bit of a nod going to the LITW.
Can anybody think of any concerns I should have about this combination?

I think he's quoting you too much for the BT200 just to sell the other one. I only paid $4600 for my BT200 when I bought back last summer. When your spending that kind of money, don't settle for something you don't want - or your not sure about. Plus, I'd feel better have a backhoe specifically designed for my tractor. Where do you live? My dealer gets shipments from TYM on a regular basis.

How does the subframe compare? The T273 I recently saw still used the toplink on the subframe mounted hoe, which I thought seemed odd. If the hoe specs are similar, the LITW is a good unit. I have the BH7600.

I thought I had read that the BT200 was about as you indicated.
I suspect that you may also be correct about the motive, and I have been waffling because the LITW is so highly spoken of, and it comes with the thumb mount already welded on.
On the other hand I certainly understand your point about using equipment that is designed/matched for another given piece of equipment, I'm just not sure how important it is in this particular situation ..... hence the question.
I'm out west in the Sierras, about 20 miles south of Yosemite.

'Apparently' it is a direct replacement for the stock unit (detaches "exactly the same way") and from what I see in pictures, it also uses the top-link.
This sub-frame is for both the 273 and the 330.
So far, I can't find any faults with it in the reports I've scoured out of the 'net regarding the LITW, and have gone ahead with it and the thumb, in the order for the 237, which I just completed this afternoon.
I hope this is the right decision, I guess time will tell.
I should have it delivered last part of next week.
If anyone is interested I'll post some pictures and report how it goes with the digging out some stumps on my property.

I would love to see some pictures of the T273 and backhoe in action. I'm also very interested in getting a the same setup. I just PM you to see who's the dealer.
