I have been fighting hydraulic gremlins since May 2009 on my T300 (new model).

Of that fight, I am on my third TYM-provided loader valve in 16 months.

I recently left the FEL in the full up position with a set of pallet forks on it. I had to replace the fuel shutoff solenoid and working on the T300 is best done with the FEL up. While waiting on the part, the curl cylinders dropped (extended) fully and the lift cylinders dropped over a 3 day period, all the way to the ground.

I asked my local dealer and according to the tech at the NC warehouse, a drop of this magnitude over a 3 day period is considered normal... Hmmm...some drop is expected, but this? Maybe I expect too much...:p

Anyway, I am fed up and replacing it with a Brand Model# LV22RFSTKAB from NorthernTool (Item# 20117) and I also need the PB sleeve. I called NT and they carry it, but do not list it...weird...however, they have it for $18.95.
I asked them to start listing it and they may sell more of both...we will see...

I will post in a week or so to let everyone know if this has fixed this immediate issue and also maybe solves the spongy compression of the curling cylinders that I have been fighting.

Is the joystick mounted right on your vavle? I am working with TYM and dealer to get one installed on mine because mine is the older setup using a joystick with cable system. I have another thread on this.
That Brand valve is the one I was going to put on mine if there was no warranty..or if I run into the same problem you had in the future..

As for the droop there should be some. I have never left mine up, but I will try probably the same valve used...
You had pump problems before didn't you? Did they replace the cylinders on the loader?

If you do a search, you will find acceptable drop rates as set by John Deere and Co. I can't remember what they were, but it was inches per hour, so after 3 days it would definatey be on the ground.

Sorry my brain didn't process the 3 days the first time I read it, makes sense.
I just never left it up because of safety issues. I know my back hoe will drop to ground within a couple days if I don't secure it. Also the 3pt arms will droop over time many days and I have to switch my valve by the seat to raise them off the back hoe subframe.

I've ran tractors that didn't drop a bit over a week. One was a 70's JD and the other a XT90 Allis with an aftermarket setup. Maybe that is acceptable, but sure seems odd to me. But I am odd, I am told...:D I still have to keep hitting the lever to curl the bucket back up every few minutes or so...inches over hours might be doable, but inches over minutes sucks.

The joystick I have is a direct mount with not cables or odd levers. I've read good things about the Brand controls...we will see.

My 3pt will not drop an inch...over weeks. It stays rock solid.

Yes...I had horrible hydraulic issues. They replaced the joystick, both curl cylinders, and the pump. It was the pump replacement that got rid of the air in the fluid.

Maybe I expect too much out of this thing...

Did you order the Brand valve and PB sleeve yet?
When you say 3pt hitch stays for weeks is that with it sitting and not ever running in weeks? because the way mine is set I have a lever to control the rear hydraulics by the seat, it has a top, middle, and bottom position. Middle(default) is 3pt hitch which mine is set for top with a holder I whipped up for use of the back hoe. Bottom is reverse flow to rear. So every now and again I have to move lever to middle position to reset the 3pt hitch because the arms fall down to the back hoe subframe.

Yes...I received the valve and PB a couple of days ago. I now have to figure out what adapters I need...the Brand setup is SAE 8, whereas the TYM is slightly smaller. Trying to research the exact size so I can find the adapters I need.
In regards to the 3pt. I can leave it off for weeks with the 3pt. in the up, middle, whatever position above ground and it won't move/budge from its position unless I move the control to releive the pressure.
I also have the backhoe setup, btw...

I don't think so either, but Kenny from NC warehouse says otherwise evidently...I wish it didn't drop like it does.

Oh don't say "Kenny from NC warehouse says otherwise evidently" because that is who I am and my dealer are dealing with and we both haven't heard a word...on the loader valve replacement yet..

Wow the valve uses smaller the sae 8, I wondered that being and import...
Hope you get yours running good soon, good luck.
