Just bought a scorpian t300 w/ 50 hrs on it. brought it home & it sat for 2 wks., before i had a chance to use it. went out to the shop jumped on it turned very slow a couple of times then that was all she'd do. i looked at the battery it was brand new, but small. so i tried jumping it ,still dead. the horn, signals all work. was wondering if a saftey switch, has faultered. any input is welcomed.

Sure sounds like dead battery or weak connection. Check the ground on your starter, or tightness of other ignition wires.

It sounds like a bad battery, If there is a shorted cell they wont take much of a charge, Check your connections (both ends)If the connections are clean Id go with a brand new battery which should be in the 50-60.00 range- Let us know

I have TYM 330 HST, and don't know if my experience can be extended to Scorpion T300. But on mine the safe start control module is getting bad slowly. Sometimes it just wouldn't start from 10 minutes to a few hours. But eventually it starts always. Again, it's a different model and you may have a different safe start control module.

Or, as others suggested it may be a dead battery.

Hello gamefowlnut
Please call me at 1-866-684-7378, and I will be happy to discuss this with you.

It makes a difference between an HST and a gear tractor - the wiring is completely different. Please have your serial number when you call me. If this is an old tractor that sat around, it is quite likely a bad battery. If you have an HST, be careful when you jumpstart, as it could damage the control module trying to jumpstart it.

Give me a call!
Roger

Hello
Where did you get the tractor? What is the serial number of the tractor? If it is an HST, it should have a wiring harness update on it. Some things should be checked before you replace the starter. A poor battery with low voltage could damage the control module. Please give me more information so I can properly advise you before you buy another starter, as you could damage the new one. Please either call me, or have your local dealer contact me. I did not receive any calls from you after my last posting. Please advise. Thank you!
