I have a 2014 T4.95 and have a couple questions. I would greatly appreciate any help. If I turn the steering wheel all the way to the left or right when the wheels stop the steering wheel will keep turning with very little pressure on the wheel it turns very slowly but keeps turning. Is this normal for the type of steering that the tractor has? Everything else steers fine etc.

Tractor has about 240 hours on it and in the last 3-5 hours has developed a thump/popping noise that you can feel in the steering wheel, clutch and brake pedal. I let dealer feel it when he delivered my new cutter and he said he thought it was a hydraulic surge and said its normal. Well I feel its never done it before and why is it starting now. Like I said its a thumping that you can feel and hear slightly. Its not in the engine but I can feel it thumping in steering wheel, clutch and brake it does it every 3-7 seconds all the time any ideas?

Thanks for any help.

I have not noticed anything abnormal about my steering and I believe my steering wheel stops turning when the left / right limit is reached. And mine does not make any thumping / popping noise that I can feel in the steering, clutch and brakes. What you have described does not seem normal to me. Your tractor is still under warranty, correct?

I have not noticed steering issues on mine, I will have to check tomorrow when I am feeding cows to see if steering wheel stops or continues to move slowly. I have had some odd thumping noises and it has always been mud/cornstalks on my tires thumping against the cab as the tires went around, at first concerning until I figured out what was making the thumping noise; and of course went away when tires cleaned off. So my question on your thumping, does the thumping quit when you are stationary?

I did check my steering stop, and it is a hard stop when turned all the way. Are you sure you are turning the steering all the way, I have front wheel flaps/fenders and the fenders stop moving before the steering is all the way to its full extend and hits the steering stop, just a thought? Let us know what you find out.

As stated above, there is a stop on the front fenders. The wheels will turn tighter than the front fenders

My 2014 T4.95 does not exhibit this. It seems odd and I am curious what the outcome is.

Mine has been great. Only issue...and thank goodness it was caught early...is my left rear tire lost all it's bolts except one and nearly fell off. It came off the flange and luckily I was close to home and going slow. Otherwise, it would have been a disaster. I checked the right side and they were all loose. Dealer replaced by wheel bolts that I lost. I had to chase one thread with a tap. I put the torque to them when reinstalling and check them. The fronts are rock solid. Not sure why the rear ones were not...
