looking
Hello. I am looking at a T5C for sale that I think I can get for a reasonable price. There is a plate on the firewall that bears the number 00520503. Is this the serial number (I thought I read that the s/n was on the frame only)? Is there a table here or elsewhere on the web that I can use to find the year from that number (seller claims not to know), or do I need to email Terramite? I also have a concern. The current owner has used multi-weight (10W30) hydraulic fluid for the three years he has owned the machine. I know Terramite has a dire warning that using anything other than motor oil in the hydraulics will cause "premature failure". My question is whether that applies equally to multi-weight fluid, or just the single weight variety. Is there anything I should look for as an indicator of this type of failure (the hydraulics and drive seem strong at this time). Thanks in advance.

Sam
