Tractor
MF 596 , MF 4243, MF 1433V, D4H, D3C
I did a search on them in this forum and didn't find much. Does anyone have any recent feedback on them? I know there is a larger model coming out with more hp and am thinking about waiting for them. but I was talking to a dealer today and he has a new 07' T7074 with cab/air and loader that he is really trying to make a deal out of. He has it priced cheaper than a MF573 2 wd and loader and the Montana seems to be a much nicer machine. It would be mainly a tractor for my wife to mow hay with and to rake with. It would be used with my 2 MF's in our hay and cattle operation. I have never really considered a Monatana before, but some nieghbors have this same model that they use with a batwing brushhog and generally abuse the heck out of and it is holding up well.
Any info appreciated.

No first hand knowledge, but there is one guy around here that has one that he uses with his cattle operation. I had looked at his at the dealer before they delivered it and it sure looked like a nice tractor to me. If the price is right, you might want to jump on it before the opportunity is gone. Remember, if you snooze, you loose.

Good luck

Well I gave the wife a choice between a new MF 573 with MFWD and a loader later or the new '07 Montana set up with ag tires, MFWD, FEL, bucket and Hay forks for less money. She was more comfortable in the Montana and picked it if the dealer would change the stereo with a tape deck for one with a CD player.;) He offered what I thought was top dollar trade in on our MF 1433v(I don't need 4 tractors) and I agreed to pay cash for the difference. I've only averaged about 25 hours a year on the 1433 for the last 3 years. The new tractor used in our current operation should get used considerably more and I can pick up a cheap riding mower to take the place of the 1433. I guess we shall see if it is a good choice or not.

Please let us know how she likes or dis-likes the new Montana.

Good luck with the new purchase. :D

Here are some pics of it. The first couple are as it was delivered. I took the loader off to while we are using it to mow with. The wife likes it very well. It is an easy tractor to use and rides pretty good.

FYI, the T7074 is manufactured by TYM, see TYM 700. Powered by John Deere engines.

It is well know that it is a Tym made tractor and it has tags labeling it as such. I did not find anything negative in a T700 search either. I am trying to not hold the fact that it is green and has a JD engine in it against it.
