TA-55 Westendorf loader removal from a John Deere 755

hey guys,

just bought my first compact loader and while using it for the first time i had sudden power loss after some small loader work around the house.I am trying to remove the FEL so i can diagnose the problem

i have the operators manual for the loader but i cannot seem to figure out removal.anyone on here have this model FEL and could walk me through the steps... i seem to be missing something?:confused3:

I sure don't have a TA55, but I used to have the TA25 loader, that had its own stand built in. You lifted two gravity powered "flipper bars that kept the loader on when you were in reverse, then backed out slightly and then you operated the lift so that the built in stand came down and supported its weight as you continued to back up. When it supported itself, you shut off the tractor and disconnected the hoses. I know this must be hard to visualize, and I don't know that your model works the same, but look for two "flipper bars" that you can usually reach from the seat that prevents the loader from comming off in reverse, and with bucket flat on the ground, push forward causing slack where the flipper bars contact their rear stop, then flip them up by hand, then start the backing out of the loader, and lowering of the footstand procedure. I hope this helps, and of course may not have anything to do with your actual loader as you have a different model than I had.

Awesome !!il give it a shot.i didn't see any levers other than the two pins but I just got home so I'm gonna go investigate a little more! Thanks for your time!!

Iknow it will be something simple but still not seeing what im missing.the sub frame mount just has slots that the loader sits in.No levers to flip that I see.Then on the front there is two pins that hold the loader from coming off when backing up.I have removed them.With the bucket flat on the ground when I back up it will slide forward about an inch that's it:confused3:

Great video.ive watched it several times but it shows him pull the front two pins and then the next segment of the video is him already on the machine backing out.i would have like to see if he does anything around the subframe area.

No, that is all there is to it. Pull the pins then manipulate the lift control until the weight is off of the mount and then continue until the foot is down, and back out. It is not the same as the TA25 I had, but similar in concept.

I got it finally.it appears when the loader was installed there are 4 sliding collars that you lock down into place for the first time of installation.i ended up loosening the collars and was able to get it a little farther off but still no go.i ended up very gently prying between the subframe mount and loader pocket and got it even further.almost like it was in a bind.then finally I came off.the loader is brand new so I'm not so sure it's been off since the collars were set.thanks for your guys help!
