Hello all,I have a DS4510 and the tacho/hour metre has stopped working, only have about 150 hours.Any ideas where to start looking? I know it is probably a simple fix but I know someone here will make it easier. Thanks Greg
The sensor is near the front end of the engine, right side (at least on mine which is a DK45S). It's a magnetic pickup that's triggered by a gear or flywheel that's on the crankshaft or camshaft. Possibly #2 in this illustration: OEM Parts
if you haven't got a downloaded Service Manual for your DS4510 it is available free from the PFG download site and is of a high quality.
I just checked my copy and there is a colour photo of the sensor, it's location as well as all the technical data on page 11-25 of the electrical section.
Couldn't work out how to copy the page for you but here is the link.
Thanks guys, after being pointed in right directionfound the cable, wasnt off but just off enough to not connect, strange things happen.Hopefully plenty of seat time today.
Greg
