Taking my L3301 Kubota into Canada and then bringing it back to the USA. Advice?

I am a resident of Washington State and have family in Canada who own a farm. I would like to bring my Kubota 3301 up with me to do some personal work on the farm, and then return to the USA when I'm done. Ideally, I'd bring it up in May, leave it there, I'd return to WA for a while, and then I'd return in July, stay for a few weeks, and then return it to Washington State with me.
Does anyone have any advice about what I should expect when leaving the USA into Canada, and or when I return to USA? I've read many different posts, non of which really apply to my situation, as I really do not intend to "import" the tractor into Canada, I'd simply like to bring it up there for a while, and then return it here to the US.

Call the nearest US Customs and CA Customs offices to find out what each country needs for doing this.

We haul boats into Canada all the time. Just a few questions about where we're headed and off we go.
I know a tractor is a little different but shouldn't be much trouble. A phone call like Bruce's suggested is a good idea.
