Hello, I have a problem and I need some expert help!

I have an old (free) John Deere 2 bottom trip plow that needs new tires. So, what's the problem? I can't get the @$**@! wheel off of the side with the trip mechanism.

I have the bearing cap off and the retainer off. The wheel slides off about 1 inch then, clunk! stopped. Does the trip mechanism need to be removed to get it the rest of the way off, or what?

Thanks!

John Bud
