I wanted to take an moment to say thank you to all the participants here on the discussion forums.
The first couple of days I was just trying to figure out what all the acronyms meant. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
The knowledge and experience here has been extremely valuable as I started researching the possibility of buying a compact tractor.
I don't know if anyone is interested in my decision process.
Suffice it to say I looked at orange and green. Looked at my needs and toy factor as I put all the choices down.
As the numbers added up and the test drives were taken the John Deere 4310 became the tractor of choice.
It has been ordered, the one we test drove sold the same afternoon we drove it. (seems a popular tractor from my shopping around).
Anyway thanks for all the great information, I figure that I will be asking more questions as the weeks and months go on.
My 4310 with eHydro, 430 FEL, 47 Backhoe, 5' Tiller, and 5' Rotary Cutter should be here in a week or so.

Thanks for all your help,

Shari

Wow, you went all out..As someone who is also in the market for a new (and first) tractor, I am interested in what you paid for everything, if you don't mind. Good luck with it!!

Hi Shari! Welcome to Club4310! I think I can safely say you will have a blast.

Please don't hesitate to ask away if you have a problem, and tell us the good stuff too.

My wife keeps raving about ours, and the 47 Backhoe is terrific. I am sure glad cruise control is standard, it is a must for mowing...

Congrats Shari. The 4310 is a fine tractor. You'll enjoy it. Also, welcome to the forums. Look forward to your posts and if you need assistance of any kind, just ask. There are more than enough 4x10 series owners here who'll try to answer your questions the best way we know how.

Just ordered the same unit with the 430 and a Frontier 72 rear discharge finishing mower. I already have a 3 pt sprayer and landpride tiller from my 955 days. I am almost as excited for the new equipment as the new 3.5 acre place. FUN, therapy. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Sorry about taking so long. I thought I had posted a follow up.
Anyway, here goes.
For the 4310 MFWD with folding ROPS, eHydro, R4 tires, dual selective contol, & iMatch was 16,900.
The 430 FEL with iMatch ballast box, 61" bucket 3,300.
The 47 backhoe 5,600.
LX5 rotary $600 bonus off the tractor and then 400 off the implements.
We might have found a bit more agressive pricing, but we liked this dealer the best.
Hopefully my 4310 will be here this week!!

Shari
