I am thinking of adding to my implement collection this spring. What size tandem disc plows do any of you 3510 owners out there use?

I don't have a disc, but from what I've read on this board, what you can pull depends a lot upon what type of soil you have, and how deep you intend to disc.

Also - Tire type comes into play when working ground. R-1's being the best.
I'd think that in light soil, a 6 footer would do OK. It would cover your tracks, and not be too big a load to pull if working deep.

I suppose it also depends upon how heavy the actual disc is too...

Hope this helps.

Very well said Lunk.I might add that there are 6' discs that weigh 500 lbs and 6' discs that weigh 2500 lbs, differences in shape, offset vs tandem, disc size, etc. But in general, a 6' tandem three-point style disc works well behind a 3510.
