Those who have replaced doors, windows, insulation, HVAC units, or mini splits save those receipts for taxes this year. There also may be state or local incentives for you.
Alabama folks get a 100% state credit for installing new efficient wood burning stoves/furnaces.
Also Alabama power is offering a $650 rebate for installing a heat pump water heater. One of those will run about $2000 installed and from what the people who have one say is its about a $60-80 a month savings from a conventional water heater.
