TC 24 D getting close

Guys after what seems like forever and several flip-flops on what tractor I wanted/needed. I finally ended up doing. Dealer called a little while ago. Credit app is back and approved by New Holland and he is expecting a new 24D in this week. Will be getting the 24D w/ hydro, R4s, 12LA Loader, 60MMM RD, and a KK 60" (I think) rotary cutter. Don't have much that needs BH <1 acre. Just too rough to want to take a $2500 finish mower. Thanks to everyone for their insight and help will post some pictures when it arrives. Been a good day. The dealer calls and tells me the good news and I solve a problem here at work that I've been working on for about 3 weeks. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Ended up buying from Cross and Sons in Jackson, OH. Little bit (OK, a lot) smaller dealer than what Franklin is, but I bet they actually sell more ag/cut tractors than Franklin. For me, as I live in Chillicothe they were actually closer even though I work only about 3 minutes from Franklin. They also beat Franklin's price by about $1500 and also said they would pick-up/deliver for all warranty work. Franklin was a little squimish on just doing the initial delivery to Chillicothe let alone repairs. I've been pretty happy with Cross so far. I've bugged them 3 or 4 times. Driven different tractors a couple of times. He hasn't really had to "sell" the tractor to me as I knew what I wanted when I went there, but I did talk to him about the differences between a 24 and TC30. Will let you know as we get farther in along in the process and after I actually have a tractor - hopefully won't have to use their service department. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Just spoke w/ the dealer it is the 5' KK and the 54" bucket on the loader. He certainly taking care of me. Everything is on order and still shooting for this week or early next.

Thats great Jim.
I had no problem with Franklin delivering or even picking it up for service work when I couldn't get the deck level and the loader removed. I was impressed with the tech they sent out. But then again they can get to my house in 15 mins. I have never heard anything negative about Cross and actually looked at some tractor prices they had in the Heavy Equipment Trader, but Franklin, so far has taken care of me well.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
By the way, if you wanna stop on the way home and throw down a cold one, let me know /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif I'm 2 miles off of I-71 or 4 miles off of 23.

Sorry to hear about the deck. I've heard quite a few horror stories here about what people have done. I'm dreading of what my first post we'll be of "I screwed up". Of course, I could start that thread with things I've done with my current lawn mower or heck even the push - which by the way is what I'm mowing with since the lawn mower died a week or so ago. Heck the wife hit something yesterday and bent the crap out of the push mower blade. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Bent it so far down the mower wouldn't even roll. Had to take the blade of just to move it. Glad I had another old lawn that just happened to have the same blade. So I was able to mow some more last night. Just spoke to my dealer. He has the loader, mmm, and the KK /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif but still doesn't have the tractor /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif but he said it could possibly show up yet today /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. New Holland says it is on the truck and on its way here. While I was on the phone with him - well actually more of the reason why I called. I had him go ahead and order a block heater for it and the grill guard/bumper for it. $40 for the block heater w/ free install and $190 for the bumper w/ free install. Kinda wanted to install the bumper myself would've give me some time to get to know my new blue beast, but I'll let them do it and it'll be ready to go when they deliver it. Guess I've gotta come up with a name besides the Blue Beast as that doesn't sound like a very respectable name for my new friend. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Just called the dealer the so that I could get some serial numbers for the insurance company. The tractor is in and he they are working on it. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Will hopefully be able to do the paperwork Friday afternoon and hopefully delivery will then be Saturday morning /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif so that I could play all weekend as I'm off from today until Tuesday. And then that is a short week because of the 4th. Should have plenty of play....er...work time here in the next week or so. I'm getting so excited I can sleep or let alone concentrate here at work......
