Does anyone have any part numbers for original equipment or aftermarket filters for this tractor? I plan on doing my first (50 hr) service this weekend and would like to use filters made by either Wix or Hastings. I went to the Wix website and it did not list the TC 24D specifically but it did list the TC 18. does the TC 18 and the TC24 use the same filters? Also, I plan on using Mobil Delvac 1 diesel oil from here on out unless anyone sees a reason not to. I have used this oil in my Duramax Diesel and have had no problems with it. And last, are there any tricks or special procedures that may make the servicing go smoother. I have read that the fuel filter bowl is a bear to remove, any special technics for this? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have an e-mail at home with the numbers e-mailed to me by Wix. It seem there are a couple (air and either hydo or hydraulic) isn't available from Wix. So I've just kept purchasing all of them from my dealer. When I go home tonight I'll post the ones that I do have though.

Here is a copy of the e-mail I received from Wix back in September:

Thank you for inquiring about Wix Filters. On the TC24D, here is what we
have:

Oil Filter - Wix 51521
Fuel - 33264
Hydraulic - 57098
Air - no information
Hydrastatic - no Wix replacement - OE # is SBA340500890 or New Holland # 87300195

This will be in our 2005 master catalog.

Regards,

Dan Moser

Next time I have to buy and it isn't time for the hydraulic and/or air filter I may look at the Wix as it might be closer then the dealer. Hope this helps you.

Why would you spend all that money on a tractor and then not take care of it with the proper filters? Wix uses paper elements inside there filters wraped with string to hold them together. New Holland OEM uses synthetic media for there filters which give you a much better filtering agent and allows the oil to flow much more quickly during the start up process than a paper element filter does. What is a couple of dollars more per filter over the life of the machine to know you are using what the engineers have designed for the tractor.

That is interesting. I've always heard good things about Wix filters. This is the first time I've every heard anything negative about them. Hmmmm......

I agree. I've never understood the logic of trying to save a few bucks on filters. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
