3-Point Hitch TC 30 3 Point hitch

Okay... I'm new to the Compact tracors but my 3 point hitch just doesn't seem to be right. I have a new TC 30 HST. On my two lower bars where you attach the implements, the tips point outwards. This makes it rather cumbersome to get any implements hooked up. I've looked at several other tractors recently and all of ther lower bars are straght at the point where the implement hooks to the hitch. I'd post some pics to ahow you what I'm refereing too, but my Camera puked out on me this past weekend. Can anyone else show me what there tc-30 3 pt hitch looks like?. I think the wrong bars may have been installed to mine. I've also looked to see if maybe they were just on there backwards, but with both ends of the bar being bent the same direction, I'd get the same effect or they would point in. Still not straight.

I'd say my TC18 falls into the "Others" catagory.

The lower arms should be roughly parallel at the ends when set 26" apart (catagory 1 dimension). If the ball joints are centered on the lift arms (again spread 26") the holes should be co-axial - ie you can easily stick a rod thru both of them.

I'd give your dealer a call...

You might try loostening up the (Anti) sway chains (turnbuckle attached to each of the lift arms).

from your sketch it looks like the arms are installed on the wrong sides. if you created a mirror image of your drawing it wouls look like the "others". Can you reinstall the arms using the same holes but on the other side of the machine?

The bar are upside down or backward, if they are the right bars. I couldn't imagine a dealer getting the arms mixed up and on the wrong tractor, but I could see a new set up man putting them on wrong.

I've looked at the hitch in every different direction.... you'll note in the sketch that my bars have bends going in the same direction at both ends as opposed to the others having a bend in one direction then the other. I've also looked at the following
Are they upside down?
Are they on the wrong side?
Are they backwards.

Every which way I turn them they don't come out straight. What really got me thinking was when I was at a motocross track this past weekend, they had a TC-30. There three point hitch looked nothing like mine, so I wanted to know what some of the other tc-30 owners looked like. In fact, the one I saw this weekend looks right. The gut that was operating it said he had it 6 months and that his dealer had several, all with the same setup.

Do dealers install whatever hitch they want or does it come with the tractor from the factory?

Maybe I do have the wrong bars.

dwollenh, your assessment is correct. Their is no way that your bars could be manipulated to to make them look like the others. Well, you could heat'm up and bend them, but short of that, you have a strange animal there. I will photograph my TC30 as soon as I get home.
