Just hit the 50 hrs and completed the required service, short of a hydralic fluid bath changing the filter and the NH gorilla that installed the engine oil filter (had to remove the dipstick tube to get a filter wrench in place) - it was a breeze. Now I am looking at getting a 3-Pt Quick Hitch so I can drop the rear box blade and get to the drawbar to hookup my disk - anyone have any feedback on the Land Pride QH15 vs the Northern Tools unit ? at least a couple hundred diff in price - Steve

Well I just looked at Pat's Quick Hitch system and read all the related posts, that may be the easiest solution if I intend to borrow any of my neighbors implements.

Can't address those other hitches but I have Pat's on my TC-30. It is the best thing since sliced bread. Yeah you have to get off and hook up the top point but that is generally a breeze. It is those 2 bottom points that drive me nuts without Pat's quick hitch. I got tired of having to wrestle with a 2 X 4 or wrecking bar to move an implement another 2" so the pin would go through the ball. Easy as can be to back up, lower the arms and then raise them up and get off and fasten the top point. Got to get off anyway if there is a PTO hookup needed. I would not trade my Pat's hitches.

Thanks for the testimonial, I think I will go ahead and order a set.

Equine, just to add to your confidence about ordering a set of Pat's Easy Change hitches, I have a set on my NH 1925 and wouldn't trade them for the world! I'm new in the tractor world, 55 years old and have a back I have to be real careful with. I too got real tired of wrestling with 700 lb implements to get them perfectly lined up. The Pat's Easy Change system is the only way to go. A little tip would be that if the pins that attach the Pat's hitches to your lift bars don't go in smoothly, slightly bevel the pin with a grinder. That was the only issue I had with installing them, and they have made my life sooooo much easier since then. Good luck.

I just received them via UPS yesterday and they look pretty rugged. Hopefully can find time this afternoon to install them, appreciate the pointer on the pins. Will see if I can post a pic when I'm done. Understand the back, the body is going on 47 and I keep trying to do the work of a 25 yr old ! Need to get my two boys out there more often to help with the work.

Do you have a link to Pat's quick hitch? I'm looking for an easier way to connect implements - I'm concerned about my Strathmore disc which weighs 1200 lbs with pins mounted on the disc(e.g., cantilevered).

Are these beefy enough, and any caution when using with implements with mounted pins?

Here's a link to Pat's site
He used to advertise here. If they still do, buy it through TBN and help keep this site free for all of us...... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Remember that most QH's move the connection point aft.. also.. measure the lift pins on that disc.. see how far apart they are.

Thanks for the warning. I can understand moving the disc further back will require more lifting power from the hydraulics, but don't know why the distance between pins matters. It look like the center lines of the quick hitch match the center line of the lower arms. Is there something else to be concerned about?
It looks like Pat's quick hitch only deals with the lower arms, which means the upper arm will need to be adjusted outward (lengthened) another 3-4 inches to provide the same angle for the disc. I don't know if there is enough upper arm adjustment without losing too much thread contact Is this a "real" issue, or just idle worrying?

Cat 1 adjustable upper links are available in different sizes (lengths) I bought a longer one for my TC30 at TSC. I believe it was only about $20.
