Hi Folks,
Its been some time since I have posted here on TBN. A very long winter here in upstate NY and a long spring clean up from our Ice storm. All Winter long I have smelled antifreeze but could not really pinpoint the leak. I bought a 3 pt chipper and have been working her pretty hard lately and after extended use It seems I have found the leak. Its actually blowing out the overflow hose and dripping on the axle, I saw it yesterday. I have about 420 hours on her. It does not overheat and the amount is very small. I did change the antifreeze in her the fall last year. I checked the level today and it is just covering the cooling fins, seems iam steadly loosing here now. I blew the radiator out a few weeks ago and checked the levels then and it did seem a tad bit low then but I wanted to see what it would do. My question is has anyone else run into this before and find a simple fix or do you think Im at the beginning of a blown headgasket. I have thought about replacing the cap first to see what it does. Any Advice would help. My busy season with the tractor is almost here and If I have to yank the head now I will but really might try any suggestion first. Does anyone know of a pressure tester that would fit my TC-30 ?
Thanks in advance
Chris
