New Holland TC30
I bought a TCV-30 last summer. Twice I have bent the stabilzer. The stabilizer is a turnbuckle which seems to be mae of pretty soft material. The cost for a new turnbuckle assembly is about $100. I was using the bushhog both times. The land I have is very irregular so frequent turning is required. Until I get more of it cleared I even have some areas that are accessable only by backing into them.

Any solutions for this problem. Does anyone know of an aftermarket stabilizer assembly that can replace the trunbuckle assembly?

The turnbuckles connected to the lower arms on the 3pth? Are you overtightening them? They should have some slop in them at rest, only stopping the arm from riding up against the tire when you turn. the rotary cutter or any implement should have side to side movement when you hookup.

I also have a TC-30 rough mow and till with it regularly, I have had them bound up because I adjusted them to tight, but have yet the bend or break one. $100 seams like a lot of money for a short turn buckle and 6" of chain.

I have seen stabilizer assemblies advertised on E-Bay for ,I think $35.00. I believe the company was in Georgia, but I'm not sure where in the E-Bay site they where located, and there was a telephone number listed so that you could just call and order them directly without using the E-Bay system. They looked to be well constucted and should work on the TC 30.

Make sure that you have the mower adjusted properly and are not dragging the front end on the ground which would put a strain on the lift arms and stabilizers when you turn with the mower down. Also be careful when backing up with the mower down. The lift arms are designed to pull implements not push them and they can easily be bent this way.

TSC sells generic turnbuckles suitable for cat 2 tractors cheap. i have a set on my ford 5000 and 10' mower.. no issues with breakage. They look virtually identical to the OEM set on my NH 7610s.. which also used to run that 10' mower.
