Actually, I have a DX 33. Same tractor. I have the same problem as referred to in this post: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/new-holland-owning-operating/98153-tc33d-rear-pto-shifter.html The rear PTO shift lever is really hard to engage or disengage. But that post is from 2007. Can anyone verify that the spring number (398210280) that member jfomr mentions is still the same spring used to fix this problem? I see a replacement spring number as SBA398210280, but it really doesn't identify what spring it is. Online parts manuals show the part number as SBA398210460. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Just to touch base, I ordered the SBA398210280 spring and installed it. What a difference. PTO lever moves a lot easier. Not hard to do either. With the tractor off, I did put the mid mount PTO in gear and removed the rod for better access. Then a 19MM socket took the plug off. Replaced the spring and put it back together. On a side note, while at the NH dealer, they said a guy that owns a TC-33 came in the week before and ordered the same spring. So if your rear PTO lever is hard to move, this is a cheap and easy fix.
