Newbie here. Just getting used to my 2000 tc 33d hydro which I bought used as a replacement for my '52 8n. The machine is flawless except for one very annoying problem. The three point lever barely moves and takes two arms to drop my finish mower like a ton of bricks. I know this cannot be right. I have checked all linkage for binding, lubed up every pivot and still nothing but stuck. I have since tried backing off the nut that appears to be a friction nut connecting the linkage at the chassis. Pulled off wheel, pulled cotter pin but cannot budge the nut, tried heat etc. Is this nut by chance reverse threaded? I am afraid of damaging internal linkage or gears by torquing too hard trying to loosen this nut. This is the only thing I miss about the 8n, super smooth 3 point. What to do?
