I bought my tc 8 months ago and really like it lately I have been considering a grapple. I use the tractor a lot for woods clean up. I致e been looking at 3rd function kits and they come with a new joystick with the grapple switch but I would lose the the hi low switches for my hst. Has anyone found a solution that you have both switches on the joy stick? Thanks

It not my idea (& I unfortunately don't remember who to give credit to) but I'm currently doing something very similar to this for the diverter valve on our TC40D... for use with a grapple

My electromagnetic third function momentary contact switch is simply added to the existing joy stick so I simply slide my hand down on the stick and press the switch button to divert the flow to the grapple.
Took a little getting used to but works great. I do like the tidy ness of the switch enclosed in the existing handle however.

I really like the one posted first, did you just swap the switch that came in the kit for that one?

B John do you have a picture of your setup? It would help give me ideas.

My switch is a little different than the one I posted (that is where I got the idea)... I'm in the process of finishing mine up...

I went a little further than just swapping out the switch because the switch was not rated for the load of the diverter valve; I wired the switch to trigger a relay which the powers the diverter valve... still very straight forward. I had a harder time figuring out where I wanted to mount the valve...

What third function kit did you use? Picture of your switch would be great.
