Generally... Yes and Yes... Unless... you can think up some reason why...
Below are a few of the reasons that I've seen on this website to justfy a larger machine -
1. Home improvement work that involves dirt movememt
2. Large garden activities
3. Mow the church's grass
4. Plan to move to the country someday
5. Father needs help with his yard
6. Snow removal
7. Possible part-time work opportunities
I have used a least three of these, but never more than two at a time...
Notice that there is no mention above as to what machine the neighbors just bought...
Sure won't take you very long to mow with that setup. It all depends on your priorities!
Some would look at $11k for that application as foolish, others would view it as money well spent. You're the best judge as to where to put your money.
I guess the decision might become clearer if you don't mind "sharing" your tools with family members, friends
or donate some seat time to a charity etc.
Steve, You forgot a couple. Saves your back, I use my TC21 for lift everything, and attachments. You can get some great stuff for the TC18. Not a garden or lawn tractor, but a tractor that does the work for you. Sorry Steve. I needed to say it. Good Luck, Kent
You are only foolish to buy it if, after 3 months, it gets repo'd because you bought something you couldn't afford. A TC18 is not an overly large tractor. Go for it!
If you show up with a Ford 7710, then you might need to be committed...
You would have a tractor that would probably last you forever and with the attachments available you would have many options in the future. Can you afford it? and do you want to spend that much? I guess you will need to decide.
