TC24DA \"top and tilt\"

Does anyone here have a TC24DA with the "top and tilt" or "terrain-control" installed? If so could I see some pics of the install?

I'm considering purchasing the whole set-up (top and sidelink) from CCM and just wondered about the install.

Not yet on my TC-24D, but I was just checking it out yesterday and thinking of starting a similar post, now I'll watch yours /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I have a rear remote, but think the power beyond port would be the correct way to go, and leave my rear for the hydraulic chute on the snowblower. I will watch with interest, especially the power beyond connection and where everyone mounts their joystick control. Sure would make life easier for grading the road.

Okay, let me be ignorant here for a bit. Due to the local dealer situation, I'm looking at Case and the DX23/26 or 29/33, but presume what works for NH will also work for Case. I'm thinking the 23/26 is essentially the same as the 24 in the NH line. Am I correct in this?

I'm planning on calling CC Machinery real soon, as have some "mad money" coming soon. I really think that the T&T system will come in handy for more than just the boxblade.

One question though, I have a BH and in order to supply hydraulics to it, there is a disconnect under the loader joystick. When unconnected, it disables the 3pt. hitch and supplys the BH. It dumps into a return above the rear axle. The question is, do I need another supply and return for the T&T system. How is yours set up for the snow blower?

I think the Case DX series you are looking at are comparable machines as the NH. I'm not sure though, I posted some advice over on THAT red post but apparently I did not know what I was talking about.

The way the dealer explained it to me, something like a TNT would require a "live" supply line that would come from the power beyond port for the loader. As I understand it, that is located up front right off the motor, you will see the steel supply lines going to your FEL joystick. There are extra ports and a valve setting on it. The rear remote that I had installed has a spring-loaded lever for two way flow by pushing forward or back, and is "dead" when centered. Good for the chute, or a wood splitter, or even a simple hydraulic top link, but not for a complete TNT system. On the Class I machines, there is only room for one rear remote, so adding more was not an option.

Not sure if your BH connection would be of use for the TNT, especially if it disables your 3PH while active. I would check with CCM, I'm sure they will be able to answer all your questions a lot better than I can. And when you get it set up, pictures please! I don't have any mad money left right now as I am nearing completion of a major addition with new siding, roofing, and heating system on the entire house. But I do end up with a new 25x36 finished garage with workshop and enough clearance so I don't have to worry about the ROPs anymore. Once I recover, I will at least have a warm place to work and maybe install a nice new TNT.

daTecha . . . you are correct the CASE DX is the same mechanically as the NEW HOLLAND TC.

Brad . . . I have a TNT system from Mark Carter on my TC24. Talked with the mechanics at the dealership and we came up with an alternate system for installing the TNT that is not perfectly ideal for everyone, but it is the best for me.

We installed a set of rear remotes on the back of my TC with quick connects. To operate the rear remotes there is a control lever to direct the flow. I plug my TNT control valve into the rear remote and simply lock down the valve lever for the remote when I want to use the 4 way valve to operate the TNT. This type of set up lets me disconnect the TNT and it leaves me with a regular rear remote for other uses. It also would let me directly control a simple top link without side control should I ever remove the TNT system completely and move it to another tractor.

For what it is worth, 90% of the value of the TNT system is in the hydraulic top link. The hydraulic side tilt is of far less value (to me).

Bob,

That was another option the dealer discussed with me. When you disconnect the hoses from the rear remote, do the check valves keep everything set solidly enough to run implements? I'm just thinking that once the blower is connected, I could simply switch over from the TNT to the chute rotator. It is the only rear implement I have that needs the remote.

The side tilt would be a big plus for me as one of my big annual projects is re-grading a gravel road and re-setting the crown.

Any pics? Would like to see your setup. A TNT is a ways off in my future, but you are the first I have heard of with it running off the rear remote, which seems like it would be a much more simple self-install.

I have the same tractor and have also been considering a "top and tilt" from Carter's. I spoke with him briefly on the phone and it sounded like a 4-way joystick mounted behind the ROPS would be ideal. I still don't understand the best way to run the hydraulics or where they would connect.

I am interested in what you find out (I might copy your idea /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif) What are you thinking the total cost will be?
