Looking
I am looking at a used NH TC25D, but I think it may be too big for my application, (I know...I know...you can never go too big!) but I wanted to see what others thought before taking or passing on the deal.

The TC25D has 60 hrs on it and a 60" MMM. It appears to be in excellent contidion, little or no PTO useage (still has cap), and no wear on the turf tires. My understanding is that it has only been used for mowing. It does not have a FEL, but I would add one if I purchase it.

What would be a fair price for this tractor? (Asking price is $12.5k)

I will primarily use the tractor to finish mow about 2 ac., till a large garder, and bush-hog about 5 ac. I will also be doing a bit of landscaping over the next few years.

Is this tractor too big for my application? (Again, I know most would say you can never go too big, but keep in mind that most of the time this will be a lawn mower.)

Thanks for the help!!

I am looking at a new 33D. Price on tractor alone is 14,700

See my link in TC33D pricing thread (started by christy) for the MN contract list prices. Then decide if you are getting enough of a discount for buying used.

I gave $15,600 for my TC18 w/ 4wd, loader, MMM, and rear blade.

Going to be hard to get a good answer. The tractors go for different prices depending where you live. I gave 12743 + tax for the tractor with R4's and the rear tires filled with beat juice in central Michigan. In this neck of the woods I feel the dealer could do better. The tractor has been phased out after all..... MMM are fine if you don't have to get under anything. Some complain about the dust coming up if it is a rear discharge and you have dirt patches. The TC21 or new 24D would be fine for you, but I was in the same boat as you and got the 25D. Mostly because of the extending 3-pt linkage. I don't know if the new 24D has that. But compare the specs. There was a big jump from the 21 to the 25 back when I purchased. And make sure your dealer throws in the 50 hr. maintenance. I seem to be the only one who didn't get that. Good luck.

Considering I paid $12.475 for a non hydro, non deluxe 4X4 TC29. Plus $25,00 for the FEL and $12,00 for a RFM. Which puts the plain tractor, loader, mower at $16,175 for a couple of more HP. This barely broken in TC25D sounds like a vary good deal. However in the Kubota Buying forum, you mentioned a good deal on a TC33D. That tractor, same frame size as the TC25D, can handle the next size of PTO Driven Implements, such a a 5' tiller or brush hog and a 6' ft RFM with ease. If it is still available for a good deal I would look into that one.

I was in the same boat. Trying to decide what size to get. I paid 15.5 for my 25D with FEL. Bought a King Kutter rear finish mower. What a great tractor! I mow 2 acres grass, 3 field and have lot's of trees. Also have moved a lot of gravel with the FEL. I think you will like this frame size. I think these tractors are going to hold their value well, especially considering the price of the new 24D.
Also, you should still be covered under the warranty. I think 2 yrs on the whole tractor and 3 for the hydro.
Have fun.
Don

I was mistaken when I wrote the post in the Kubota forum (Too many tractor brochures on my floor!!). This TC25D is what I meant.
