While mowing with a bush hog I attempted to shift gears from 2nd to reverse and the gears ground. After stopping and looking it over I determined that I could not shift to any gear if the PTO was engaged. If I disengaged the PTO the tractor operated normally. With the trans in neutral and attempting to engage the PTO I would hear a slight grind at initial startup of the PTO. Once the PTO got up to operating speed the grinding went away.
The tractor has about 2920 hours on it and the clutch has about 50 hrs or so on it. about a month ago I pulled a single bottom plow with ease meaning the clutch did not slip at that time.
I'd love some advice. I need this thing up and running ASAP.
Thanks in advance.
