tc29d need help! bad sound from transmission, bad bearing maybe?

I have a 2006 tc29d hydrostatic, it works fine, but i get a spun bearing high pitch sound from the transmission sometimes. I cannot figure out where exactly it comes from. It sound like A dry bearing if you blow it with compressed air, similar to cavitation in hyd system but its more of a spinning sound.

I thought it may be coming from one of the accessory pump, there's 2 on the right side of motor but It seems to becoming from transmission and it is worse the faster you drive, in 1st its not bad second its bad when you're going faster, its getting worse I just wish I had some schematics of the system because I am not familiar with how its built. If anyone has any idea of what it could be, it seem to be aft of the motor. If I can figure out how to make a video I will, its hard to diagnose since you have to be driving.

This 'may' not be related to your noise... but on REALLY cold days, my TC33D makes a sound similar to what you described. It's just cold hyd fluid viscosity but until it warms up, it sounds just like spinning a dry bearing with air. It's done it since day one and has never posed a problem in 1200 hours.

There is a grease fitting on the steel outer shield part of the driveshaft cover. If this is news to you, give it 20 or so pumps of grease.

I don't see any shield, just a rubber one. I greased the universal, ill take a look tomorrow.

Well you were correct, i'm happy it was that simple and kind of mad I didin't figure it out. But you can't win em all.

I try to remember that every day at work especially when troubleshooting is needed. 25% of the time its stupid simple.
