Oil & Fuel TC29D Rear Oil Seal Leaking

If that hole was open while working in the field, you could have gotten something inside the case. I have no idea what the chance of that might be, but looking at the accumulated trash below the hole, it might be pretty good. It would depend on how and what the tractor was working in/with and how long it was open before being discovered. I would tend to replace the filter, but maybe not all the oil.

I'm just curious, Bob. Why would you change the oil and filter just because of a leak? It seems erosol lost a little over 1/2 his hydraulic oil, but the oil was running out. I just don't understand how the oil could have become contaminated enough to need changing along with the filter.

If you are going to go halfway, why not just go all the way? Just get it done and then forget about it for the next 300 hrs.
Bob
