New Holland TC30 Hydro 4x4, Gravely Zero Turn Mower
I drove a TC29D and compared it to a TC30. I noticed something that surprised me. The TC30 (economy class) travels just as fast in reverse as it does forward (hydro). The TC29D went quite slow in reverse in all ranges. This is important to me for running back and forth when plowing snow. Can the TC29D reverse speed (hydro) be adjusted? Maybe there is a limit screw?

There are definitely adjustments to pedal "stop" positions and your dealer should be able to do this for you. If you look under the operators platform and operate the HST pedal(s) you should be able to see the stops in "action." ...now the disclaimer...I own a TC45D and it has two pedals with stops. I believe the TC29D would be the same, but I'm not completely sure. That's another thing I'd ask your dealer about.

The TC29D has only one (1) hydro pedal, but two (2) stops. These are visible on top of the foot platform, and easily adjustable by the operator. I have never adjusted the reverse stop, but my TC29D goes fast enough in reverse. If you notice it to be too slow in reverse, you definately need to adjust the stops.

Thanks to all that responded. I'll take a look at those stops the next time I'm at the dealer. Maybe today.

The manual shows the speeds(mph) in each range as follows:
low mid high
3.9 8.1 15.6 forward
2.9 6.1 11.7 Reverse

Don't forget to disengage the cruise control either. That will make them creep in reverse.

The TC29D I had was very slow in mid-range reverse, which is where I mowed with it. I called the dealer and asked him if it would harm the machine to adjust the speed and he stated that N/H sets it slow for safety reasons. I cranked the stop down about a half inch and was good to go.
