TC29DA Coolant Change/Deere Cool-Gard II

Hi Guys,

Need to change the coolant in my TC29DA and there are so many choices to pick from. I decided on Deere Cool-Gard II Premix and is the only one Deere has. Assuming this will be fine for my tractor as it does not take ELC and this is not marked as such and supposed to be ok for any green compact they have ever made.

Years ago, the guys at the JD dealer told me why Deere started selling pre-mix antifreeze. They were having to many engine problems due to muddy water. Some people were using pond water to mix the antifreeze. I bought a 2020 to find out the block was full of mud and cracked the block. No water could go threw the water pockets. I buy Deere coolant by the boxes. All my equipment uses it. Plus all of my trucks and cars. We don't have the Pontiac anymore which took the orange coolant.

I used Peak Final Charge Pre Mix in my TC25D. Lifetime anti-freeze.

The Deere Cool-Gard II is fine and so is the Peak. Any Brand name diesel pre-mix coolant, standard or extended life will work fine in the the Ford New Holland.

I used Peak Final Charge Pre Mix in my TC25D. Lifetime anti-freeze.

Nothing is "lifetime" despite their labels. Everything eventually oxidizes out and needs replacement to replenish the additives.
