I've pretty much decided that the TC30 is what I need, but now I need to figure out which kind of mower to put with it. My initial thought was getting a Woods 72" rear-mount, rear-discharge, but I've gotten spoiled to the handling ease of the mid-mount on my JD. If anyone has the NH mid-mount mower, or has knowledge of it, I'd like to know how good of a cut it gives, how easy it is to put on and take off, how easy it is to adjust, the cost differential between a RFM, etc. I'm also wondering if it's available in 72" and 84" widths.

I have a 33 with a mmm. It is a 72 inch rear discharge. Sometimes I think the 33 has all the power to run the rear discharge. My brother in-law has a 72 inch side discharge that seems to run much better.

I guess it all depends on how much you are going to be putting a mmm on and off. Mid mount vs a rear finish mower both have ther pro's and cons. A rear mount is easier to put on and off and allows backing into tight places for mowing, however a mid mount is a whole lot eaiser to see when your mowing and cuts the grass after only two tires have run it over and not four. Depending on the type of grass, the length and how fussy you are this may not make a difference at all. I use a TC40D with rear finish mower (rear discharge) for commercial mowing and as long as I don't wait more than a week between mowings it does just fine (nice clean cut) but these are wide open ball fields so the extra length of the tractor with the rear mower wasn't an issue. I wanted a mid mount originally because that is just what I prefer but the mounting brackets interfered with the backhoe subframe brackets. Obviously these two components would not be on the tractor at the same time but the mounting brackets was where the incompatibility came in. Again it all comes to a matter of prefference. The rear discharge is nice for distributing the clippings, it will clup a little if the grass has a heavy dew but it keeps the clippings behind the tractor and doesn't blow them in unwanted areas.
I don't know if this helps but good luck.
