The lighter oil may be the reason. You might consider going back to 10w-40 and see if it stops.

Most diesel use 10W-40. But just to let you know when my Ford 1620 began to leak oil from that tube it was oil blow by from bent rods and stuck rings. A compression test will give you a verdict. FYI you can buy the cheap diesel compression test kit that utilizes the glow plug hole and it works pretty well. I think this is the one I got.
