Jim,No park brake,no safety module but do have some sort of relayPower to the solenoid is initiated from the ignition anytime it is ON, but it comes THRU the operator safety circuit. Since the engine turns over normally, your neutral sensing and PTO sensing are fine. I'm pretty sure that your problem relates to the seat switch. On my tractor, the seat switch logic is bypassed by the transmission being in neutral and the parking brake set. Does your tractor have a parking brake sensing switch and light on the instrument panel? The TC30 may not have either of these features.
I don't know how much your tractor would be like mine, but on the TC45D, the Fuel Solenoid is powered by a Fuel Solenoid RELAY. That relay is controlled by an Op. Safety Module which gets inputs from the seat switch circuit. When all is normal and safe, the safety module just provides a ground path for the coil of the Fuel Shutoff RELAY. This allows the relay to energize and apply 12 volts to the solenoid. The actual 12 volts that powers the solenoid come directly off a fuse. When you turn ON the ignition key, it powers the "hot" bus where all fuses are attached. That means if the fuse is not blown and the ignition switch is good (yours seems okay) then only the seat switch/parking brake switch and safety module are involved. If your tractor has no safety module and no parking brake switch, I'd guess that your seat switch provides a ground path for the Fuel Shutoff RELAY directly without any other logic, but I can't be certain without a schematic.
Going to pull the fuel solenoid and check for intermittant and then run power to the solenoid from the 5amp fuse directly [on when ign. on,off when off]
This tractor was made BEFORE all the dumbing down logic was applied to these units, I spent 30 years on a much modified NAA before a spider pin came loose and grenaded the whole rear end [rear digging trees @ 2000 rpm!,Kaboom].Only issue with washing that was the air cleaner,no relays, switches, safety stuff, just your brain! LOL.
Thanks all for the great info, still going to try to find the correct schematic but think this info will do the trick after all it's just a simple little diesel,------- right?
