Asking 15k
Machine looked great but 15 seems a bit high by my research

Little big for what I want, looks like it is barely broken in so tempted
Thoughts on the machine?
Realistic price for it?
Might be too much tractor for just my 2 acres, and worried non folding ROPS will affect my work around fruit trees

With a loader on it and only 184 hours the price seems somewhat reasonable. You could try offering less and see what happens. Closest I could see in Norther Cal prices are running about 12,000 for a good used tractor without a loader.

Although you think it is a bit more tractor than you need, when you start using it you will probably find it is fine, if not a bit small - they have a way of shrinking when you find all the things they do and you can use them for.

As for the ROPS - a good welder or shop can turn that into a folding ROPS. That said, our ROPS is folding and I don't think we have ever used that option - but then, we don't have any fruit trees

Bought a bare TC30 in 2006 for $10400 ( dealer I bought T450 TYM from sold it on his lot for me in 2010-$7500) took a bath on that one but tractor sales were slow then....

Take $14,000 cash in your pocket, and tell him that is all you have (keep another $1000 in a different pocket).
I'll bet he will take 14K.
Whatever he does, you will have bought yourself a new (184 hrs.) tractor, for an excellent price.
Have you ever heard of a garage "too big"?
Most tractor owners would like to have a bigger tractor, .... if only just a little bigger.
I have more than 14K in my 1000 hour (completely rebuilt) 4x4 Ford 1920 FEL., and this tractor is 14 years newer, with ONLY 184 hours, plus bush hog, and box blade!
Don't ***** foot around!

Two neighbors have the TC30's and love them. One has 1500 hrs and no real issues getting lots of use; the other is used for hauling firewood only...Both are gear driven. Around here they are hard, hard tractor to find for sale...At $15000. I'd take it, sounds like almost new to me...

I've offered to sell my 2005 TC30 with 650 hours, loader with bucket grapple, 5' boxblade and brush hog to my nephew for $9500 and he's acting like its to high. He's a ag teacher in a small town, just starting out so I was going to give him a good price. If i advertise on CL or where ever i'll definitely increase my asking price based on this thread.
I love the tractor, its been the most dependable piece of equipment that I've owned. The dust and pollen are affecting me more each year and last summer I had my first go round with skin cancer. I bought a Toolcat 5610 to replace it for mowing, moving hay, and general working around the properties. Love to Toolcat and cab!
I'd say go for it if the price is good for your area.

One problem with prices where we live is the shortage of tractors in the 25-30hp range give or take a few HP. Out west, smaller BX Kubota are plentiful but something 25-30 HP is tough to find used. Way more tractors back east to choose from but then there are many more small farms there than here too. Not finding a Kubota of preference, I looked for the TC30 finding just two, and if being hydro, I could go for one but both are geared units. New Holland is not big here either as Kubota is king then JD...
