I have a TC31DA with a 3 cylinder diesel engine. I have a leaking fuel injector on the front cylinder that needs replacing. I do not know if it is leaking internally (into the cylinder) or just externally onto the manifold. The oil doesn't look too bad (visually), but there is considerable sludge under the oil fill cap. Does this indicate a blown head gasket/cracked head...or could this be caused by a leaking injector? I'm the only owner of the tractor, and it has about 600 hours on it. It has never overheated that I am aware of. It is used primarily for mowing in the summer (1-2 hours run time each mowing), and used to plow snow in the winter (30 minutes runtime each time). Its stored in a heated garage when not in use, so there is some moisture in the air. While plowing yesterday, it seemed to lack power lifting, and/or moving through the snow (hydro trans). I plan to replace the injector, change the oil, and do a pressure test of the cooling system. Any other recommendations?
