Whats the difference between the D and DA? I am looking at a used TC33D and I dont see any difference between it and the new TC33DA. What do these letters stand for?

The "D" in both models stands for "deluxe" which largely means HST, extendable link ends, tilt/telescoping steering, guages, rubber floor, etc.

The "A" means it is the newest model that started being sold this year (2004). Other than some cosmetic changes (including the "love it/hate it" headlight design), it biggest useful change is the ability to take the new, low profile loader that has more lift capacity. Apparently, the new loader will not retrofit on the older tractors.

Had a 33D(02), upgraded to the new 33DA. Main reason for the change was the new loader, it is a little bit better than the 7308 that was on the 33D. I also went from turf to R4 tires.
Other improvements
1. the new grill does not trap seeds and fluff as bad - would have to stop and clean the inner screen when driving thru fields.
2. the battery has not leaked yet, the old one was always causing some white corrosion in the battery area and raditior.
3. seat is a little better
4. instrument panel has been updated
5. some of the wiring seems to be better protected.

Both are great tractors, but I like the 04 better. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
